Advice
FOR A PEACEFUL STAY

Tips for parents

What do I need to know before coming to the course ?
  • Please arrive 10 minutes before the course starts.
  • Let us know if you have any health problems.
  • Our services do not include equipment. Choose the right equipment for your level, size and type of activity.
  • Helmet is compulsory
  • Lift passes are not included in the price of lessons and are compulsory depending on the level for group and private lessons (children under 5 do not pay the lift pass, but a pass is still required for access to the lifts).
  • Insurance is not included in the price of lessons, so we advise you to check your personal insurance to cover skiing, or to take out a ski insurance policy.
How do I prepare my child ?
  • Children must come to lessons equipped with :
- Ski or snowboard equipment and boots adapted to the chosen discipline
- Jacket and overalls or warm, waterproof ski suit
- Mittens rather than finger gloves and a hat
- Helmets are mandatory
- Mask or sunglasses (corded for children)
- Anti-UV sun cream (minimum index 3) and lip balm

  • Avoid following the lessons and calling out to your child during them.
  • Leave it to the instructors to decide whether or not to change groups.
  • Your child is on vacation, and the aim is for him to enjoy himself and want to come back. So respect his or her rhythm and don't try to make him or her a champion before his or her time, as this could hinder his or her progress and put him or her in difficulty.
  • Always be positive and value his progress.
How do I get to the meeting place ?
  • Parking is available on each course site. But beware, these are often full in the morning ! We therefore advise you to take the SkiBus shuttles provided by the Station des Rousses, but remember to check the timetables and drop-off and pick-up points. You can find all this information on the Station des Rousses website.
Do I need to show my course card ?
  • Esf Les Rousses does not issue course cards for purchases made over the counter or by telephone, whether for group or private lessons. If you booked online (via the Internet), you should have received a course eCard (downloadable from the MyESF application) and/or an order confirmation e-mail. You can present one of these documents to the instructor on your first day of class.
If you didn't bring any proof, don't panic! Our instructors regularly check their schedules and student lists for each lesson.          You'll still be able to take part !
